Number of words per line in each stanza goes up according to my favourite mathematical sequence.

Awkward Adolescent Adoration

my
awkward
slightly rounded
shoulders miss your
slightly dangling apelike arms, and

so
does
my weirdly
elongated emaciated torso
i want your warmth here

please
do
not leave
me alone again
i miss you for some

reason
even
though i
just saw you
yesterday and two days before

some
strange
longing has
wrapped me in
its unforgiving and frigid embrace

sometimes
i
doubt that
my affection for
you equals yours for me

but
other
times i
feel like this
wishing badly you were here

favourite
there
is not
much i would
not do to see you

in
this
moment i
want you to
tell me you love me

then
hold
me close
against you and
promise i will be safe

What a lovely form and such a romantic poem too. It looks great on the page, I don't however feel that awkward adoration is solely an adolescent concept...love catches our breath at every stage. Smiling at you, Tai
