Your thoughts/opinions are appreciated. It may not be the most smooth with words, but one of the purposes of a poem is to get your thoughts on a matter out.
it is their love, or so she thinks, that is making it seem this way
then he picks up the knife, his fingers crossed while stabbing her in the spine
she wanted the fairytale ceremony, the everlasting miracle
she had planned it her whole life, to find Mr. Prince Charming
yet his mind, typically, was on the lower half, only lust on this man's brain
commitment is a dirty word, for men it means too many restrictions, or a threat to his status
for women, it means a brick wall, that which doesn't listen, speak, or have feeling
love is like a four leaf clover, only those deserving find it amidst the fake
it is no more than the equivalent of the loch ness
marriage through history was either to support yourself, or a parental arrangement
people toss the word around like last year's clothing, to truly understand it, that is the real accomplishment
yet we look on, and like a good story, use it as fuel in reality, as a motive
it is our sunset on the beach, the diamond in the case, we can see it, but that is all...just left for us to dream

Commitment Unexistant
here they stand, luminous in nature, so tall and strongit is their love, or so she thinks, that is making it seem this way
