You tried to help in every possible way

And you stayed so optimistic and so full of life
I dont know if it was that animated look of yours
or the laughter or the cosmic consciousness
that got me hooked
And oh so intelligent...

And you never gave up

until God took you away
i smiled coz i realized that's the Dr. puff-puff i know
Remember the nite you waited til midnite to ensure your nephew got his surgery? and you left with an ulcer from not eating all day?
and you wanted to sleep 2-3hrs, so you could go back to check up on him?
remember how crazy i thought you must be?
I always told you you were investing in your kids' futures
And I still strongly believe it
Oh, and to hear you talk about your kids
Or your mother or your partner
Made me wonder what planet you came from
Made me want to find true love
You were such a good person
And I sincerely hope that i told you that enough times
Dr. puff-puff, no one can replace you in our hearts
I love you so much
I pray for peace, strength and happy times for your family
I pray you'll sleep well when you watch your kids
accomplish EVERY THING that you dreamt up for them
My doctor, teacher, mentor and friend,
may you truly rest in peace.
& next time you plan on dying on me,
at least call, so we can say goodbye
