US OLD FOLK

Yesterday's are moving away,
Faster then my tomorrow's draw near.
Seems I'm forgetting dreams,
Rather than my years.

Even my heart is slowing down,
Much faster than a clock.
No longer do I hear a tick,
When I can only feel a tock.

The unreality of my reality,
Is beginning to settle in.
The more I do I lose,
I cannot find a win.

If I should fall away tomorrow,
In the present of today's.
May we meet somewhere forever,
Before life just drifts away.

Is there life in the afterlife,
I'd really like to know.
Or is the afterlife just a place,
Us old folk would like to go.
