The original was written on 12/23/2008. A new version has been birthed from the old one. This has been extremely revised.

Shivery Shadows

In the sun’s last flickering glimmer

Upon all the parched gardens and grass,

Shivery shadows elongate and shimmer,

Where they await for the hot summer to pass.

Into the meadows they steadily sweep,

Perishing into the nebulous night

Where the cooled shade breathes.

And become blended from sight.

The Gentians dream of misted gardens-

Kissed again on a new horizon-

With rainbowed rays renewed in the sun.

Melodic memories become sealed in songs.

Guitars quietly strummmed when played

Complete the day spent and soon gone-

In the sun’s last flickering glimmer

Upon all the parched gardens and grass

Shivery shadows elongate and shimmer,

where they await the hot summer to pass.
