A Little Getaway

Heading on down the highway.
I got the stereo turned up loud.
"Buffett Live" is playing,
Jimmy's stirring up the crowd.
Rag top's down, my shades are on,
The cooler is within reach.
Goin' to spend a little time
Just relaxin' on the beach.

Won't you come and join me, Baby?
Spend some time in the surf and sun.
We need a little getaway
We need a little fun!

I just waxed up the sail board,
Hoping to catch an early breeze.
No clocks or phones or faxes.
Just here to do what we please.
We'll go dancin' in the moonlight,
You'll have me grinnin' ear to ear.
We'll sit with our feet danglin'
Watching the sunrise from the pier.

Won't you come and join me, Baby?
Let's get some sand in our shoes.
We need a little getaway
From CNN's Headline blues.

A week or two beside the ocean,
With you'd be heaven to me.
Lovin', laughin' and playin',
Havin' fun in the sea.
I could think of nothing better
Than to be walking hand in hand.
Sharing all our hopes and dreams,
Walking barefoot in the sand.

Won't you come and join me, Baby?
Spend some time in the surf and sun.
We need a little getaway
We need a little fun!
