Darkness By Ann Wood

It is dark and cold,
In the garden.
I stay there,
And listen,
To the song,
Of the bird near me.
It is late,
In the evening.
Everybody is home,
And having diner.
It is dark outside,
And I am,
Alone in the garden.
Together with the bird,
Singing its song.
I listen to the song,
And I feel cold,
And lonely.
It is a dark,
And stormy night.
I go into the house,
And get ready,
For the night.
It is dark,
All I hear,
Is the birdsong,
From the garden.
