Had To Go
Oh she knows why he came to see herAnd she knows why he had to go
The years go bye to cry without her
He only tried to tell her so
Many words were said with heartfelt meaning
Breaths were measured intakes felt so dear
Feeling so afraid how things were leaning
Held and treasured the brakes screamed in fear
Oh he knows that she never meant to stay
So it goes like a fever long lost day
She only tried to tell him so
And he knows why she had to go . . .
