Lamp Shade Conference

Lamp Shade stands on the stage
Waxen faced effigy
Reading of tragedy
Forgets to turn a page
Eyes of glassy age
Words of practiced decades mouthing the pit
Something suspiciously dark comes from it
An all inclusive separation from the pyramid tip
An eye on high to raise the toll to lay you low
That such a dim bulb should shine the lie to swallow
As tubers fester inchoate pagan rituals and rites display
The digital hubbub shaves the time with more to follow
Locking all in a cage
Lamp Shade stands on the stage
