Remory Lane
There's a neighborhood in every townWhere every lane is called Memory
Sometimes the signs are seen as upside down
The streets are paved with borrowed history
Someone once is waiting to meet you there a ghost
Someone so dear to thought impossible to touch
If you turn a corner cross a certain street
Doesn't really matter where easy to get lost
The lanes all seem the same the difference not much
One never knows so seldom expects to meet
Who may be waiting in a shadow yard
With tears and laughter of mere facsimile
An ever after of close proximity
Like holding the deck yet missing that one card
Where every lane is called Memory
The streets are paved with borrowed history
