This is a 'projection' made to express the indefinable yet somehow articulable nature of reflection and faith.

My Eye

All the stars were out
They were shining in the sky
The air was sweet and mild with wildflowers in bloom nearby
Night eyes prowled the fields and hills searching for a taste of Light
Inside my windows I was reflecting
On my faith and doubt
Like a mirror in my eye
All the stars were out

I like this poem. A little daunted by the last two lines because I think they're sad. The peripenultimate line must apply to us all, but being unable to quantify One's beliefs needn't switch the stars off. I can appreciate the magnificence of it all whilst being 'stateless' as regards religion. All that shouldn't detract from the skill demonstrated in your poem, though. Blessings, Allen
