Always Remember
That warm summer nightThe stars shining so bright
I tried to sort through the mess
The past year had left in distress
Was the time of new and rebirth
Spring was in the air
Fresh flowers and the smell of earth
People living their lives without care
You came into my life
No thinking or mistake
I dreamt some day to make you my wife
Still something made my world rattle and quake
Summer now was finally here
Lemonade Stands, hot weather
School was over, filling students with cheer
Vacation time, feeling light as a feather
My partner and I were out, being together
Yet something not right, did danger draw near
Time changing, Leaves are falling
It's getting cooler, babies crawling
One I wish to have, part of a family
Two kids, a house, simple things you see
Doubts I have, still stopping me
I wish to set uncertainties free
Snowing outside, Winter at last
Now having cold weather, frost covered grass
Time together not spent, I wondered where the love went
The answer was to me a surprise
When I caught you with him, I stared into his eyes
My world a mess, My heart now broken
I had seen the words not spoken
Back to the night the summer had driven
My heart now repaired, the accused now forgiven
I look forward to another year
Good times to come and old to disappear
