When You Fall In Love by M.A.Meddings
The moment I saw you I knew that you were something so special
There was no need to attempt to save my heart  a fruitless exercise
It was already taken from the start of our enjoining
Cyber chats, of telephones ringing, taking me back
To a time long ago when I was entranced by Debbie Reynolds
And a red headed look alike of Arlene Dahl with freckles
Her name in the wake of my enchantment with you
Just a year ago escapes me for having realised you
Had pretty freckles too, there was no hope for me
You  and I just had to be together perfect harmony
Wonderful symmetry beautiful  euphonic glory
In the aftermath of mutual heartache
How long did it take to make me smile
Oh just a few stolen moments and a PC that all on its own
Sent me automated messages
'Never gonna give you up'
'My endless love for you'
And you were so embarrassed at first
Trying to deny you knew
Then admitting there was absolutely nothing
You could do to stop it
It was of course your computor speaking not you
Ok! I suppose so, though you had me smiling
With pleasure, then a sort of yen to see that message
Again and again besides, your computor had an excellent choice.
If written in a passive voice safer I suppose
I could never give you up
But who cares about tense or grammatical error
Whenever you fall in love
