please take a seat and pay attentive ear
for you have all been asked here today
so that we may by the toils of our spirits
converse with the spirits of the recently deceased

oh, i give your soul release
and send you peace, i send you my peace
in your eyes, i see your torment,
i see your anguished soul
and i offer you comfort
in exchange for that anguish

I agree that anguish is the price we pay for contact. After a while though, the anguish returns. I don't understand how these people do it, but they do! I don't trust it, even though I have received a few very comforting and amazing messages. I like your poem, it creates a very authentic atmosphere.

I very much like this thought of communicating with the departed not for what they can tell us but for what we can give them, which in a way also gives us peace and comfort.
