An obituary

Single Rose on a Jaded Vine

It died a long slow death
never wavering from its demise
The silent killer
stalked it
devoured it
murdered it.

Abandoned, ignored, it withered
like a neglected single rose
on a jaded vine.
No care
No love
No touch.

It was buried in contempt
covered by the dirt
of unfaithfulness
forgotten
forbidden
forsaken

Silence.

I lie dormant in the winter
of my life.
My name is Passion.

Who're you kidding, lady? Prince Charming... The bower....
I agree - Your name is Passion!
I'd rate this one, it dont sound like the Kathy I know. But its such a heart-rending, well-written text - It has to be atleast a four.
