(She Says)

When I am silent, (she says)
When I am and yet, am not there . . .
When I return after a time out of place, of face, of hope out of time . . .
Where there we shall touch and hold and reach each other close to mold . . .
Would you ? ? ? Will you k n o w ? ? ?
Why you, how to, would you, will you Love me so . . .
When I am silky, (she says) Silken and Silk
Shall you approach me barefoot in the silence of my all alone
Primrose and Violet with your wordless passion, faceless and unknown ? ? ?
When you are written with feathers and indigo ink
Like the scars on my skin and soul and heart and dreams
Shall you dare come to me so soft within and blend within the seams
Of stars that are the lights that live deep within my eyes, (she says)
When I am silent
When I am silent
When I am silent . . .
(She says)
