This was written for a prompt called "recycled poetry" in which one chooses a poem and writes a new poem consisting only of words found in the chosen poem. I chose "the girl on the bus stop bench," by Charles Bukowski.


a schoolboy

a schoolboy
felt the sunset
on her face,
the girl
in immaculate skirt
parked her car
along the bashful,
undressed supermarket
