Star Crossed

An Image forms

inside the mind

amongst the roses and vines

your face appears

its crystal clear.

I loose my breath,

I loose my mind;

a face I haven't

seen or laid

my eyes on,

since

you left.

You creep

in my dreams,

like the ink of the nite;

sad enough

they seem to be

all I have left.

That which remains,

lie, smoldering,

in flames.

Forgotten, all because

I walked the wrong

path.

All because I desided

to choose you.

Woe is my soul

lamenting our sweet sorrow

we were to meet

forever more, in flesh,

mind, and soul.

 our tomorrow

never seen

never

played a single beat.

star-crossed

in love.

it's good to read your poems again. they describe an interior journey, a sense of where you've been, what you're thinking—to the extent you care to share. they're reflective poems, the images of looking into mirrors, looking into yourself, work well. there is a haunting sense about them.
