A short poem about childhood and memories.

Remeberances

When I was a child
I was not always alone

I used to play and to sing along
In the midst of a mighty forest

A chanting song

Humming in the darkness

Yes the trees they were watching
And so did all the birds

Little did I know
As I went on singing and humming
My song

What was in the wind?
But small promises

Where did it all go?

This is so ethereal. It breathes like spirit. That song must whisper in the wind through the trees now, moving them gently. Purely Lovely.

The innocence of childhood is so beautiful, and so short lived.
A beautiful poem.
