Rose and Dove
A swirl green, yellow, brown coloring it's skin, thorns long and slender, sensual pain to share.
Earth bound graven tight to fingery roots,
mother's loving womb does harbour there.
Beauty built from risen life and fallen death,
feeding, protecting, for it's all, they will give.
Velvet skin tauntingly unfolds to hungry hearts,
hopes, dreams and love exists without and in.
Holy white does pass on rigid and caressing wings,
visions joined, love does blossom, taking flight.
Words and lyrics carved by sharpened tongue,
mystery, ecstasy, joining souls, inner sight.
Wolves and darkened storms do not touch leaf or throat,
power, strength, love was and shall always be.
Loneliness and despair, all but forgotten enemies,
now, gently drifting in quiet peace on an endless sea.
