Valentine's Prayer

Come to me, brave corsair
You have been wronged in your repute,
Condemned as a low marauder.
I know you as one who communes

With the sky, seagulls, and salty breeze.
Your ship glides through Earth's veins,
And though I am your captive at sea,
Sail with you for eternity, I'd do fain!

I have no wish than to be your inamorata,
Master of the wind, ruler of my heart!
My daring Durantarte and noble Rama,
Leave me not to this cell; keep us ne'er apart.

With one word, my soul you command,
And to you my person I surrender.
My eyes I close, and these arms I extend
Take all of me, Love; become my possessor.
