GFU #4

I would accept

what can't be changed

if I could tell you

that I think it can

I would walk away

tomorrow

let these fingers

slip through your hands

I would see

that our love is a fire

that no one

will ever displace

then kiss you

on your lips

smile one last time

at your pretty face

and yet not knowing

what is really there

inside the light

inside your eyes

it crushes

all my hopes

turns them into

futile lies

so tell me

what you know

and of the dreams

you dare not say

so that I might sleep

into tomorrow

longing of a time

when you'll never go away
