A Country Garden.

Cobbled steets and leafy lanes
Old church spires with weather vanes
Flintstone walls beside the road
Thatched cottages stand out so bold

Tulips line the flagstone path
Sparrows dance in an old birdbath
A wooden gate swings to and fro
In gentle breeze where weeds still grow

A weeping willow adorns a lawn
Its hanging branches look forlorn
Wild flowers sway and shed their scent
A country garden in the heart of Kent.

Still perusing your wonderful work Graham, (sorry, I think I called you Alan in an earlier text, put it down to early dementia.)
This is a wonderful little write, so evocative, so typical of you. Applaud.
