an inward occupation

A feeling of uninvaded calm
pervades your whole being
when the heart
for the first time

feels pained by the pain of others, closes
its door on outdoor mirage
to open it on what's abundant
indoors,strives to do

what it can do without,aware
life has no menu-save akin to an echo
it just throws back to you
whatever you put in.

Well done. I especially like the thought and structure of the last three lines
