Postcard Poem 8

The coffee-maker coughs.
Or snores, cantankerous,
and wakes itself up.

The scene conjured in mind by your words here is amusing and relatable. I see a person, who isn't a morning person, standing in front of the coffee-maker, waiting for their first cup to start off the day. While waiting, reflecting on their system and the coffee-maker's system when it starts in the morning (or attempts to start, anyway) - both starts a bit laboring. I found it funny to present it that way. I have seen that scene many a mornings with my douce moitié. Mornings aren't easy lol Thanks for the smile :)
