Postcard Poem 23

From age
to age, we
gather joys

as pebbles

from a rural
backyard,

or dandelions
grinning
yellow amid

the verdant
herbage,
poking di-

minutive
heads into
scarcely

superterr-

anean space.
From age

to age, we
smile for the
Polaroid, now

gone the way
of the victrola
and the eight-

track. Sleds,
velocipedes,
rocking horses.

I'm intrigued by the clever use of enjambments in the poem. Also, I'm equally drawn to the similes.
