voyage

we're silent for a long time   finally

colin's grandfather

says a few words meant to sooth

marketa talks about the future

when all this is behind us

colin concentrates on his work   says little

one minute i'm impatient to have it over

one way or another

another minute i'm loving the uncertainty

knowing i have no control

that i am not captain

of this particular ship   that i am

one of seven billion passengers

on a strange voyage

It is a voyage, one I wish would end soon but looks like we're in for the long haul - has an almost snow day feel to it - a suspension of reality

All of us are voyagers on a strange journey. We don't know what fate has for us. A poem for today's world.
