Questions & Answers
Would I live this day, now claimed by dusk, once more?
No, but I'm glad of the day's abundant graces.
Do I care to number them? I'd rather rest,
basking in their remembered radiance.
An evening walk down Mystic Street: shall I?
My imagined, my anticipated walk,
might turn out lovelier than the actual walk.
I must admit, though: life can still surprise me.
Shall I attempt a vesperal nap?
Sleep often proves elusive: if I chase it,
some nagging worry dithers me awake.
Am I willing, am I able, to be here now,
just sitting, writing what delights my mind,
trusting that what sustains me will sustain?
