surprised
i like this relationship
we have with flowers, how they are lovely
to behold, but also useful
in attracting pollinators to spread the joy,
share the bounty,
bring new life to a sometimes tired world.
wildflowers are amazing,
filling niches
with such variety and colors. splendid!
here, it is time for daisies,
queen anne's lace, st. john's wort, spiderwort,
which is such
a beautiful shade of blue, there is nothing like it,
also, sweet clover and hop clover and white clover
and cat's claw-sensitive briar,
and more.
those come to mind, as i'm just in from my walk.
sometimes the city,
if you look carefully in just the wrong places,
can surprise you.
