ashes to ashes

from the bleeding orange sky

comes a mass of gray clouds

wreathed in bogus smiles

death sneaks into the room

heavy with the smell

of fresh chrysanthemums

the curtains of faith rustle

a soft quiver passes over

the calm contours of your face

the sparrows in the balcony

chirrup life’s last song

on your crumbling bones

the land beneath you is slowly

sinking sinking sinking

the temple bell goes thrice

now is the time to go back

to the ground from where

you & all this sprung

Oh, I swear from line to line, I felt a squeezing in my chest. Like a piercing eventuality threatening an unstoppable invasion that'll overtake, but it's only settling very slowly, in its sweet time. The mood is so powerful. Fabulous writing, seriously good.. I'm running out of ways of saying it! ;) *I bow in sincere admiration*

An excellence, Bibek. Disturbing and beautiful at once. Is it a recent effort? It's quite good.

This is a very sad goodbye but very true also.We all are heading to the ground from which everyone has begun.A very good work that stays in thought.
