rules

the acrobat takes

      her foot

off the tightrope,

      does a flip

& some dozen other

      tricks—

defying the laws of

      gravity,

exceeding the potential of

      human body—

flipping like a coin

      upon

the slack rope,

      motioning

her desire to break

      the rules—

Each line made me picture the nimbleness and stealth and ability to move her body like most of us can't... as you say, like defying the laws of gravity. It's always amazing to watch. The line "motioning / her desire to break / the rules—" really catches me in the context of your descriptions of this moment. It's perfect :) Beautifully crafted writing, always a joy to read you - thanks.

Well balanced, and the setting is refreshing, something outside the writer's solitude.
