Rhyme for No Reason

The tintinnabulation of a bell.
A bright blue rose with a sharp silver thorn.
For winter’s vanishing, a villanelle.

A prayer to pluck endangered souls from hell.
A canticle to greet the gladdening morn.
The tintinnabulation of a bell.

A tale no other bard would dare to tell.
Sound of a voice, ecstatic and forlorn.
For winter’s vanishing, a villanelle.

A magic word no alphabet can spell.
Miraculous moment when a world is born!
The tintinnabulation of a bell.

A golden coin tossed in a wishing well.
A costumed bugler with a brazen horn.
For winter’s vanishing, a villanelle.

A cloistered hermit kneeling in his cell.
A proverb to encourage and to warn.
The tintinnabulation of a bell.
For winter’s vanishing, a villanelle.
