*In Worship of Your Beauty*

- writing exercise inspired by In Worship of Your Beauty by M.A. Meddings (lastromantichero) ..not my usual, but i tried :)

The sweet reminiscence
Of your delicate fragrance:
Smoothly down my neck and my spine go
Shivers that embalmed every side of heart,
And orchestrated every possible liberty.
Our dreams sang of wondrous infinity,
And released from the shadings of time,
Nothing could ever match the purity of joy
Which flooded our minds of sublime affinity.

Our hands joined in unity, unchallenged,
All of our tender kisses spent, a treasury.
Our love has now become an unprinted story,
But the rush of ecstacy lives on forevermore,
And preciously safe-guarded inside soft melodies,
Our finer moments are the lifeline of memory...
Instinctly natural, released from all earthly worries,
Came our way swirling flutters of gentle life, happy -
In the worship of your beauty, I learned to be free.

Must add my words to the throng. An excellent love poem.I am envious. I never have,(nor could I ever) feel this way. As you know, poetically, that is a severe handicap'

Congratulations on the editor's choice!
I always thought this one deserved it, I find it to be one of the best love poems I have ever read. I admire your use of wording here, how descriptive you are in each individual line, and rounding it off to a most beautiful closing line.
Great work!

I hope you are well,
T.

Hey, I did not realise I had read it earlier,
I enjoyed it even better this time,
Like the old wine,
Gets better with time....

How absolutely lovely, Darling F.i.in.e
As I was reading I kept saying to myself,
This s my favourite line, then I would read the next and say,
No, this is even better, and so on and so on...
I could not choose one over the other,
They are all so good! Perfect!
Each chiselled with the delicate fragrance of you love!
You love with all your heart and soul!
May your happiness stretch to infinity!
From infinity to eternity...
Forever and forever more...
All the best to you!!!!!
(((Big fond hugs for this masterpiece)))

I agree with ardent - a feeling of great serenity did come over in this - I could be wrong but it was like a great rush of acceptance and joy. You are a talented writer and I am so glad to have read your words

This poem is so beautiful and serene, I love the title.
All of our tender kisses spent, a treasury.
Our love has now become an unprinted story,
But the rush of ecstacy lives on forevermore,
~ I like those lines.
