The Zombies Among Us Have Adapted

The brain's become a superfluous organ,
Its bearer no more than a cell to be
Managed within the body of some other
Creature: Colossus, and, henceforth,
No cell in this body should think. The thinking
Will be brought to it by a head, and belief
And awareness, all knowledge, will
Come to the cell, through its phone,
At all times. What the cell does, where
The cell goes, how much it eats,
And consorts with its neighbors are known
To the head and directed by it. The old
Social structure, its jellyfish ways,
In which cells were autonomous,
Has been replaced. With the new structure,
Everything's rigid, and you're urged
To turn in your brain.
