Stock prices rise relentlessly. Eventually, the prices of everything else will, too.

Quantitative Easing: a Parable

The rich folks in their boats are pleased.
The level of the lake keeps rising. That's
Okay. The dam is fine. The ones beneath
It beg for water. None's released. They
Squat beside the little that leaks down
To them. They do not give the dam
A thought, but all that water's made it
Weak. One day, it's going to break apart.
The rich will gaily surf the canyon
While the poor will drop their pots
And try to stay afloat.
