Where Are We, Anyway, Hong Kong, Portland, Santiago, Cairo, Paris?

I don't suppose it matters who dispatched
The cops who cracked your skull or which
Street you left blood upon, which continent
Or hemisphere, and I doubt that you draw
Much comfort from the accusations pious
Men at lecterns level at the ones who
Torment you when they, too, find it
Useful to send cops to fracture skulls.

Marie Cadavieco The PoetBay support member heart!
How true, how succinct.
And the accused can take pleasure in accusing their accusers.
