Fall for All

I fall for all the tough ones

The insolent the sweet

The tender eyes the sassy tongues

With speech of spice and heat

I fall for gals with confidence

The wits who know they're smart

I'm up in arms over their charms

I don't know where to start

I fall for all the ones in pain

Who drink their woes away

Who bounce back with a quick wisecrack

And move right through their day

I fall for all the chevelures

With hair both straight and curly

The young the old the meek the bold

The mellow and the surly

I fall for all the famous ones

Who sing their soulful songs

If this be treason make the most

And hang me for my wrongs

I fall for all the shy and sad

The angry and the brash

For destitute and those with loot

I fall with massive crash

I fall for hearts that curse and bless

For comic and for tragic

I fall for virtuous wickedness

Who casts her drastic magic

I fall for you my Bay State belle

My blossom and my bonnet

I'll praise you with a villanelle

Acclaim you with a sonnet

You are my Rose of Sharon

My springtime of the year

You're my Divinest Comedy

Sweet Afton flowing clear

I'll strum this old acoustic

I'll bang that bloody drum

Play the kazoo till I turn blue

Give you a tune to hum

I'll serenade you with my hymns

And kiss your blushing cheek

I'll whisper French from a splintered bench

Ma joie t'es magnifique

I'll win you with Italian words

You'll love me back in Dutch

You'll whack my head with a loaf of bread

And tell me you're too much

Reading this delightful romp makes me feel like riding an open streetcar track on a sunny summer day! I can see my self waving to all these glorious women of yours as we laughingly bounce by. Stunning Thomas. Love the jaunty cadence. The rhyme thatís just sufficient to further elevate the piece without hampering itís vitality.
