Let's Send a Video of Our Dinner to Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and North Korea
What a beautiful evening! Here comesThe senator. Suited and pompous, he sits
With his kids and his grandchildren.
Waiters arrive, bringing menus and water,
And all, in due time, find their food to be
Perfect, delicious. It's been a good day
In this part of world, but elsewhere it
Hasn't. The senator and his associates,
All of them seemingly high-minded,
Searching for votes, have decided
That those who have nothing in places
The wrong people rule should go
Without food, without clothes,
Without medicines. Sanction them.
Why not? It's cheaper than war,
And one's hands don't get bloody.
One gets to come home for a meal
With the family. Others may suffer,
But, really, who cares? It's a wonderful
Evening here.
