Ethnocentrism

All day long, I wondered how that fox found
Shoes which suited it. “Who even makes
Fox shoes?,” I thought. A friend of mine,
A gnome, said she did. “Making them pays
Well,” she added, proving her point by
Revealing gems embedded in her teeth.
I smiled and apologized. “You know how
Full-grown humans are. There's so much
They claim cannot be. Why shouldn't
Foxes fancy footwear, and why can't
Ambitious gnomes buy baubles for
Their teeth?”
