The Fish

Greetings from all at Coo & Co :>)

We apologise for our absence since the New Year. Unfortunately our FT's health has not improved, but she has been able to keep working and to enjoy a little creativity sometimes.

This month is National Poetry Month; today we received the prompt, 'Write a poem that is a parody or a pastiche of another, famous, poem.' We chose Alfred Lord Tennyson's 'The Eagle' and here is our 'The Fish':

She sails the seas with silken spines;
Amidst the waves in languid lines,
One with the turquoise tides she shines.

The weathered rock above her looms;
She shelters in the tumbling spumes,
Then, like a submarine, she zooms.

All Good Things,
Coo, of Coo & Co :>)

How very lovely!

I'm in awe of the phonetic cohesion, the alluring alliterations, through & through.

First and foremost, welcome home! We missed you. I love the whimsy of your poem. It makes me smile and smiles are in short supply around this world of late. So thank you Coo for a therapeutic smile! 😜💐
