Paranoia is Warranted, but it Won't Help
You're complicit in your own captivity. We all are now. We carry beacons telling
Anyone who wants to know where we
Have been, where we are going, what
We've bought or thought of buying.
You might want to lose that phone,
But, even if you did, you'd learn that
Cameras everywhere are watching.
There's a file for your face. You're
Seen. You're recognized and tracked,
And, should you try to disappear by
Entering the wilderness, a thermal
Sensor will detect you. Satellites
Will find you there. You're captive.
Everybody is, including paranoids,
Like me, who don't cooperate.
