Summer Begins
The woman who forecasts the weather is lookingA little more carnivorous than usual as she describes
The wretchedness of the three days to come. Memorial
Day weekend, the springboard to summer, will feel, she
Is warning, like midway through autumn. We'll have
To wear sweatshirts. We won't use the pool. When
The kids all come over, the hot dogs and buns will
Remain in the freezer. Hot chocolate will do, maybe
Movies or board games. The weekend's been ruined
Before it's begun... and that woman keeps flashing
Those teeth.
