(It's too Obvious)
A warm fall day and you are here. How's that for serendipitous? But
For some wine and two stemmed
Glasses, I believe that I'd be out
Of reasons to think life's not perfect
Now. Let's make the most of it.
A bottle shop is but a little walk away.
A pair of glasses which I bought when
They were full of marmalade will
Ably transport wine to lips, which
I suspect, if all remains so lovely
As it seems to be, will meet before
The food I've ordered, in sufficient
Portions (inexplicably) for both of us,
Arrives. I thought that I would eat
Alone, but chose to buy enough for
Two. Now, you have shown up,
Unexpected: serendipity!
