Thanks we give to our zoo
A tiger, a cheetah and the kiwi too
A great birthday party for my mate
It won't be hard to remember this date!

Cream in my ice coffee, ice-cream in your hand
Inspired by all this nature, a poem we demand.
To be a mighty poet, there is only one way
So thanks for letting us know it and giving us this day.

To sneak in the last word, has turned out to be hard
like grabbing a watermelon all covered in lard!
I tried to find a rhyme for your little scout
Will they accept my ending, or dash it all about?
