Last Orders

Old heart, how I know

I’ve abused you so;

with all the whisky

beer and wine.

I know One day

you’ll say –

it’s now time to go,

as sooner or later,

you’ll call it time.

Griffonner The PoetBay support member heart!
Very true, Dougie. There must also be other abuses attributable to this modern day living too. Sad when you think that the remedy is balance in all things.

AFRODITE STATHI
Although i don't drink i have abused my heart with bad feelings and wrong emotions.This work is so sensitive.
The inner communication with my heart is something i have.
To me this poem is a great work.Make me think about the time i will leave.Bravo!!!
