emboldened

as if furtively
a rainbow
slipped
into the sky
at first
the colours
were faint
but slowly
almost stealthily
its colours
emboldened
the colours
asserting themselves
who stopped
who looked up
filling
weary minds
the rain drenched
and the dry
with a quiet sense
of wonderment
the children
almost danced
the adults
just watched
their worries
their blues
away
