No,  I don't hate son's ex wife.

You may find this a little trite,

She loves the things I write.

She used to be horrible,

Now she's quite adorable.

She says.

"I'm like the dad she never had".

I reply. (Sometimes it's good being bad).

"You're like the daughter I wish I never had.

When I first met her,  Was like learning to swim,

You would have to tread water carefully,

Before jumping right in.

Now that I've known her for more than a day,

I wish I could have swam the other way.

The humour between us,

You could never defeat.

She's a much more rounded person,

Must be because of the things that she eats.

And to be really fair,

Her and her partner took on 2 children

Nobody wanted.

It's nice to know somebody cares.

urban duck The PoetBay support member heart!
i figure out, I am a Texan who would comment:
"an honest piece of writing"
it is a very delicate text, sensitive comparing to what I would say or write on my behalf
