MARS BAR

Mum wanted her
Mars bar to wed,
Twenty one day's.
It would take,
For the bans
To be read.
Her mum tried
To stay alive,
It was her time.
As she passed,
Her children cried.
As never before,
For their mother
That they adored.
She was taken gently
Into that night.
Any recriminations,
Let them go.

It was just her time,
To give up her fight.
Now she's watching,
From far above.
Watching waiting,
For one of her
children that she loved.
To be wed.

There must be something about being wed that parents wish it upon their children, perhaps for most of the offspring, that is.
