Righteousness is its Own Punishment
The people your God would let into heaven
Aren't those with whom I'd want to spend
All of time. They are ugly and pinched,
All-purpose bigots, who never get silly,
As Satan's friends do. There's no sex
In heaven, since souls can't have kids.
There's no drinking, no gluttony, no crazy
Music. The people God favors sit glumly
In circles, watching each other suspiciously,
Thinking somebody will do something they
Disapprove, while the ones down below
Mostly mind their own business, and thank
Heaven they've gone to hell.
