Solitude in the afterglow

All alone in the night
Sitting on a beach , I listen to the waters ,
Gentle waters of the seas
Drown the name on the sands,
Gentle waters of the seas
Wash the sand from my hand,
Let the love of my life
Take to your depths
In the gentle waters of your seas
Away from the shore.

A mad man in a mad house
A sand grain in the sea
I’ve lost my heart to insanity.

People leave you lonely,
The hard credibility.
Realising the truth of love;
The seas the closest sanctuary
And the witness a star above.
Gentle waters of the seas,
Like the sand on my palm
Take me into your heart .

Yes, there is a lyrical quality in this poem; and I also thought the repetition of gentle waters works well; there's a sweet sadness in the mood expressed.

I read this and thought, 'Surely this is a song lyric?' There is an element of repetition in this poem which works well - not always easy to achieve. As I say, to me, a very lyrical poem, that I thank you for sharing.
